- The best way to store chia seeds is in an airtight container at a consistent temperature. Storing in a pantry should keep chia seeds good for 2 years while storing in a fridge should extend their freshness to 4 years.

Any recipe using one or two tablespoons of organic chia seeds in a glass of liquid once or twice a day will make a great addition to one's diet and positively affect many aspects of their health.
Soup: Simply add chia seeds to your favorite consommé or soup. It is a healthy alternative to croutons, soup nuts, soupl mandel, shkedei marak, rusk or other grain based additions.
Chia Gel: made by adding 1 part chia seeds to 9 parts water can add moisture and bulk to many foods. Chia gel can be used in stuffing, as a bulking agent in meatloaf and similar foods. Chia gel is grain free, gluten-free and free of other potentially harmful grain related proteins.
Salads and Dressings: Chia seed can be used in salad dressing recipes or can be added directly to salads to provide a subtle crunch. Thickening Agent: Chia seeds can be added to sauces and stews as a thickener.

Eggs and omelets: Add to beaten eggs let sit ten minutes then beat again. Then cook with any other ingredients for a surprisingly good omelet. Pan Bread: Mix chia seeds eggs, dairy or nut milk with flour or flour substitute and leavening agent. Cook in pan with lid on.
Crackers: Mix Chia seeds with dairy or nut milk and flavor with your choice of seasonings. Spread on a baking sheet or dehydrator pan. Dehydrate in oven or in dehydrator. Great with antioxidant spices, sea salt, Superedibles Raw Organic Cacao Powder or Superedibles Raw Organic Spirulina.
Smoothies: Chia seeds are a great addition to your favorite smoothie recipe.
Cereal: Chia seed can be included in your favorite cereal hot or cold.
Beans and Grains: Add Chia seeds to your beans or grains. Chia can be added in the last ten minutes of cooking. Be sure to compensate by adding additional cooking liquid.
Pie Filling: Chia is great a thickener for fruit or nut pie filling.
Pie Crust: Crush chia seeds with Superedibles Organic Cinnamon Powder and honey for a terrific pie base.
Cookies: Chia seeds can be added to many cookie recipes.
Sprouts: Soak chia seed in water with a splash of lemon juice for 20 minutes. Drain the seed and spread a thin layer on an unglazed terracotta dish or coconut fiber growing mat. The next day and for the following 1 or 2 days, lightly mist the seeds once a day. In approximately 3 days you can harvest the sprouts. Chia cannot be sprouted using bag or jar methods. Use as you would other sprouts in salad s and sandwiches.
